resort experience. Your ocean view room with private ensuite features picture windows the width of your room. The spacious configuration with expansive observation decks and large airconditioned main saloon are shared with a maximum of up to 60 guests.
Our cruise includes your tours and excursions with just one departure and no waiting in queues – you are already there. Activities incorporate the highlights of the region including Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet, Whitsunday sunrise and sunset and our thrilling ship to shore rigid inflatable transfer vessel Island
Adventurer. Explore via kayak from the easy access swim platform or experience the vibrant marine life with snorkel and fins.
Onboard is your bar, restaurant and café – have an alfresco breakfast on the open observation deck, enjoy a fine wine over dinner in the main saloon or order an espresso coffee during afternoon tea. All your meals are included.

The Whitsunday Explorer is a 45m premium small ship purpose-built for overnight cruising with a full suite of modern amenities to ensure ultimate comfort and relaxation throughout your time on board.

All rooms measure a spacious 14.5m2 available in a King or Twin King Single configuration. All rooms are outward-facing with wall-width panoramic windows (sea-facing wall is 55% window) above the waterline, they provide a private space to relax throughout your cruise and take in the spectacular scenery. Rooms are individually airconditioned so you can adjust room temperature to your preference. Rooms are also fitted with a wardrobe, 240v power outlets and are serviced daily. En suite bathrooms feature a full-size shower with a range of complimentary toiletries
Enjoy your meals with ocean views either from the airconditioned comfort of our main dining saloon or alfresco on the rear or observation deck. Our chef has created fresh seasonal menus showcasing local produce, cooked in our onboard kitchen and served buffet style.
Breakfast
Each morning a full hot & continental buffet breakfast will be available from 7:00am including eggs, bacon, house beans, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, fresh fruit, yoghurt & granola cups, toast & spreads. This offering will be supplemented by chef’s specials which may include eggs benedict with salmon or ham, smashed avocado on sourdough or coconut and cinnamon French toast.
Lunch
Enjoy a light lunch from our fresh buffet overlooking the stunning Whitsunday Islands including fresh salads, cured & house roasted cold meats, Queensland tiger prawns, cheeses, with fresh wraps and rolls. More substantial lunch offerings will also be available and may include slow roasted Italian lamb shoulder, oven roasted tandoori chicken or lime and cracked pepper grilled king prawns.
Dinner
Our onboard chef will prepare a variety of dishes for you to enjoy across three courses, showcasing their skills with a special cooking demonstration for an interactive dining experience. As well as a large selection of sides, salads and trimmings you could be treated to:
• Starters – mini blue swimmer crab bao bun, caprese
skewers or fresh seafood chowder
• Mains – house roasted rib fillet, locally caught whole coral
trout, sumac spiced butternut risotto, sweet soy and
sesame crusted salmon fillet
• Dessert – dark chocolate and orange mousse cups,
chocolate raspberry fondants or baileys tiramisu
Morning and afternoon tea is also included to keep you refueled throughout the cruise.
Beverages
Your cruise includes a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Complimentary souvenir water bottles are provided in rooms for guests to use and refill. An iced water station is located in the main saloon and on the observation deck. For environmental reasons bottled water is not included but can be purchased from the bar. Our bar is licensed from 10:00am to midnight and features a hand-picked selection of Australian & New Zealand wines, tap beer, cocktails, top shelf spirits and liqueurs.
Day 1: Guests board at either Coral Sea Marina or Hamilton Island. Whitsunday Explorer departs Coral Sea Marina passing through Molle Island group and across the Whitsunday Passage, before dropping anchor at Cid Harbour for the evening. Enjoy drinks on the observation deck before settling into the main saloon for dinner with the Captain followed by an itinerary briefing for the upcoming days.
Day 2: Start your day with an alfresco breakfast on the upper observation deck or in the main saloon as we set sail to drop anchor near Whitsunday Island. Board our high-speed rigid inflatable Island Adventurer for a quick transfer to the brilliant white sands of world famous Whitehaven Beach to swim, walk and explore at your leisure. Jump back on Island Adventurer for a short cruise up to Tongue Bay and the Hill Inlet Lookout Track. Marvel at the marbled ever-changing patterns created by shallow blue
water and moving white silica sand. Refuel with lunch on Whitsunday Explorer as we set sail to Hook Passage. From here we’ll launch the Island Adventurer to explore Nara Inlet and the ancient rock wall paintings of the indigenous Ngaro people. Our final destination for the day is Langford Island – the perfect spot for snorkelling with sheltered waters and coral systems teeming with vibrant marine life including a large population of green turtles. Back onboard our small ship take in the sunset as we cruise
to Long Island to anchor. Enjoy drinks and dinner in the main saloon at your leisure, why not treat yourself to a nightcap under the stars on the observation deck.
Day 3: Enjoy breakfast alfresco or in the main saloon. Explore Long Island’s shores and walking tracks at your own pace. A crew member will always accompany guests ashore. Return to the mother ship for your return cruise to Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach arriving 11:00am. Guests returning to Hamilton Island will connect with their dedicated transfer vessel and land at 10:00am.
Your cruise includes experiences and activities that showcase the Whitsundays landscape, seascape, nature and history. To access environmentally sensitive locations Whitsunday Explorer is equipped with a highspeed rigid inflatable vessel Island Adventurer. The Island Adventurer has a capacity of 35 people and is equipped with roof shade, all-weather foldable side windows, beach landing steps and is powered by triple outboard engines. It can gently meander around fragile coral reefs or provide a thrilling 40 knots high-speed joy ride on the open water. Boarding and disembarking the Island Adventurer is a quick and safe process and our crew will be available to provide assistance if required.
